Buyer country, language, device, currency and eligibility
Taxes, delivery, exchange rates and financing terms are understood
Show contracted cards, wallets, bank and local options; no empty brand logos
Handle issuer, banking app and risk challenges without losing the order
Use authoritative provider confirmation; distinguish pending from paid
Receipts, refunds, disputes, subscription changes and reconciliation
Local popularity cannot tell you whether your company may collect the payment, whether a method supports subscriptions, or which currency reaches your bank. Use each country page to separate shopper experience, technical handling and commercial contracting.
Build an evidence-backed coverage audit ↗It presents a full total early, supports guest purchases, offers the buyer’s eligible local methods, minimizes unnecessary fields, and confirms payment from the provider or scheme rather than a browser redirect.
Start with the exact shopper market, device, currency and your own contracted merchant products. Prioritize methods proven usable for that segment, then offer a recognizable fallback. Never display uncontracted logos.
It depends on your product and validation burden. Test completion, errors, accessibility and recovery by device. A one-page layout is not inherently faster if it hides costs or creates form errors.
Explain what happens before leaving checkout; preserve the cart and transaction reference; mark the order paid only on authoritative server-side confirmation. Provide timeout, retry and refund handling.
Stored-card credentials, direct-debit mandates, recurring QR/wallet products and cross-border acceptance are separate capabilities. Verify merchant eligibility, customer consent, settlement and FX by product and country.
